Pipe Dreams, an interactive sculpture in at a skate park, recalls legendary 1970s Arizona skateboarding spot, Desert Pipes. Three large steel pipes create an iconic optical presence in the park, while providing a skateable feature and a hangout spot in the center pipe, which includes a tiled bench and perforated steel mural inspired by swimming pools, also once popular for skateboarding in the valley.

Pipe Dreams was commissioned by the City of Phoenix; engineering by Yetiweurks, steel fabrication and installation by Magnum, concrete work by Progressive Hardscapes, mural painting by Bill Savarese, and tile installation by Juan Acosta.
